Woohoo! On the first day of the new year I was asked to guest facilitate for a group of 45 people.
And on the second day of the new year I birthed an exciting new venture with three talented and fun friends.

On the third day of the new year I got my period and sat up bloated thinking that my business was starting to feel like a runaway train of to do lists!

Runaway trains of to do lists are no fun, but scenic railways like puffing billy are 🙂.

And I have been thinking for a while about how we can often only do about 2 or 3 tasks per day, if we want to do them really well and still have happy, balanced lives.

So I made myself a ‘scenic railway’.

I’ve got little blue tacked ‘carriages’ of things I aim to get done for my business. Each day I will pick the top priorities and I will be happy if I get 2 or 3 done!
The darkest colours represent those tasks that make money, and as the colours get lighter, they represent prepatory tasks that are further from making money.

The aim is to get as many dark colours as possible in the top priority section each day.

However, whatever 2 or 3 top priorities I choose each day are enough! And I aim to spend four hours on them (and I only want to go over that if what I’m doing happens to be more fun than anything else I can think of to do at that moment)

I’ll let you know how I go.

Toot toot, here we come 2017!
